About Ignis
Built on main contracting experience.
Ignis is an owner-led passive fire protection specialist working across the UK. Established in 2020, we support main contractors and specialist subcontractors on major new builds, refurbishments, remedial works and ongoing frameworks.
Our management team’s background in main contracting shapes how we approach each project: understanding the programme, working with the site team and organising the resources needed to get the work moving.

Passive fire protection needs to fit into the wider construction programme, alongside other trades and changing site conditions.
Having worked on the main contractor’s side, our leadership understands what project teams need from a specialist subcontractor: a proactive response, clear communication and the ability to mobilise quickly.
We bring that understanding to the delivery of our package, working with the contractor’s site team to implement the relevant requirements of the building’s fire strategy.

Around 30 site operatives are supported by contracts and project management, quantity surveying and dedicated logistics management.
Each project is overseen by a contracts manager and an on-site supervisor, giving the client clear points of contact for coordination and day-to-day delivery. Our operations director leads the running of the business, keeping senior management closely involved in the work.
From individual project packages to ongoing national frameworks, this structure connects the commercial, logistical and site requirements of each appointment.

Independently assessed installation capability.
IFC Certification
Ignis holds third-party installer certification through IFC Certification.
The certification process includes independent assessment of office and site activities, alongside competency assessment of operatives and supervisors. For works covered by our certification, we issue a certificate of conformity supported by the scheme.

Installation records and handover.

Our operatives use Onetrace to document fire-stopping installations as work progresses.
Each installation record connects before-and-after photographs with its location, identification reference, installer and installation date. Completed fire stops are photographed with their identification labels, linking the physical installation to its digital record.
At the end of each project, we provide a fire seal log bringing these records together. This gives the client an identifiable record of the completed fire-stopping works to support handover and subsequent reference.
